Arconia Socks

The Arconia socks are worked top down from cuff to toe. Starting with a rolled cuff instead of ribbing, the design transitions into a ribbed pattern that runs down the leg and continues along the instep. A reinforced heel flap adds durability, and the heel is shaped with short-row turns.

US shoe size (women): 5½-6 (7-7½) 8½-9

Measurements of finished socks:

Cuff/foot circumference: 20 cm/ 8”
Leg height: 14 cm/ 5½“
Foot length: 22 (23.5) 25cm/ 8½ (9) 9¾”

Recommended needles

3.5 mm (US 4)* DPNs, circular needles or preferred needles for working small circumferences. or the required needles to achieve gauge

Fingering or Sock Weight - 300 mts (328 yds) per 100g skein 1 (1) 1 skein

Suggested yarn: Sock by Malabrigo (100% Superwash Merino wool, 100g = 402 m/ 440 yds) Fabel by Drops (75% wool, 25% polyamide, 50g = 205 m/ 224 yds)

Gauge

28 sts x 38 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4’’ in Stockinette Stitch, worked in the round on 3.50 mm (US 4) needles, after blocking.
